I don't mind the icons, in fact I like the style and uniqueness, but I can see how it might be difficult to distinguish between the two states of the "Add to Taboo" button
    Here are some alternative suggestions:

I think the icons are fine, it's fairly clear what they mean and I don't find it hard to distinguish between them. And I think they're far "cooler" than some other toolbar buttons!

I get confused by the "add to taboo" button... its not easy to distinguish between whether the tab is in taboo or not in taboo just by quickly glancing at it. I'm also not so keen on there being two buttons for Taboo. Perhaps you could find a way to converge the buttons into one? Or, why not make the "add to taboo" button display in the Awesome Bar like the bookmark star? :)

I think they look fine as they are, but if they're causing problems with enlarging the entire toolbar with some themes then perhaps that could be fixed. They don't need to "look cool", they serve their purpose well.

I think they're a little too similar also and look goofy, but my main complaint is they're too large or something. I use the MacOSX theme and soon as I installed taboo my toolbar got taller. At the very least make them smaller.

I think We can perfectly distinguish each other.

Hey guys, I like your icons. would stay with them, and not bother changing. As TaBoo becomes an integral part of Mozilla (at least I expect it would be), anyone coming out with a new Theme would design the TaBoo icons anyways.

Personally, I don't have any issues with Taboo's toolbar icons; their meanings - "taboo" a page and display the "Taboo" tab - are clear and the icons easy to read. IMHO, they don't have to be "cool", just clear, understandable and functional - and, for me, they meet that criteria. Of course, I probably could be the father of many FF extension users that posted here.
